About us...

Charles and Debbie are the first inhabitants of Greenlaw House a warm, sunny and welcoming home, and offer stylish but fairly informal comfort and a warm reception to their guests. Visitors are welcome to sit in their drawing room admiring the view of the Lomond Hills, or even, weather permitting, on their huge deck or outdoor table and chairs on a west facing patio. The attractive garden offers colourful vistas to both sides, opening towards the spectacular view to the West. The house is packed with books which guests are welcome to borrow and all rooms have television. Wireless internet access is available.

There is a strong emphasis on local, free range and organic ingredients for breakfasts and dinners (available on request). Fife abounds with excellent food providers and Debbie sources food carefully, placing a strong emphasis on seasonality. Cooking is a strong point and after one dinner, last year’s Open Golf guests begged to be fed again the following night! Breakfast choices will include traditional full Scottish breakfast with, if you wish, haggis and black pudding, or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs or Arbroath smokies. There is always an interesting fruit salad or compôte, plus fresh fruit and delicacies such as Selkirk Bannock, Aberdeen butteries or croissants.
